Karina Rollin, the designer of 'Frieda & Emil', personally crafts each bag in a unique handwork. The creation of each knitted accessory requires careful thought and each piece is therefore interwoven with a unique story. Fine wool combined with carefully selected materials such as bamboo, wood, felt and antique brooches turn each bag into an individual, harmonic ensemble.

Karina grew up in Pasewalk, a small West-Pomeranian town. From early childhood she learnt to appreciate the traditional values of diligence and perseverance from her grandmother, Frieda and her grandfather, Emil.

Originally, her accessories were designed for personal use. 'Frieda & Emil' Knitted Treasures emerged from the keen interest of people who remarked on the individuality of her designs.
